The problem

The company invested in course platforms and training opportunities to enable workplace learning and development, but employees weren't using the provided resources. This led to:

• Low productivity due to outdated skills and lack of order
• Disconnection between departments due to knowledge gaps
• Poor customer experience due to skill deficiencies
• Wasted resources and budget
• Inability to scale and adapt to future needs
• Missed opportunities for workflow improvements

The Solution

To make learning initiatives at the company successful, a clear training support system to bridge knowledge gaps and oversee the progress of employees was implemented.

The system consists of four relational databases shown in the flowchart above. Goal completion is tracked through completed courses, giving the CEO a quick overview of employee progress. Additionally, a gallery view showcases all earned certificates.

Conclusion

In addition to the Notion system for tracking progress, an internal reward system to motivate employees' learning initiatives was developed. Later the project was expanded by implementing gamification system, where employees were are granted points for their achievements. A central dashboard was created to display employee rankings and foster healthy competition. This gamification approach has proven effective by tapping into natural competitive instincts, providing immediate feedback, and making the learning process more engaging and enjoyable.
